Privacy Policy
VoiceLine LS — Interpretation Platform · Last updated: July 3, 2026
1. Who we are
VoiceLine LS operates the Interpretation Platform (the “Service”), a remote interpretation service providing over-the-phone and video remote interpreting. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. For questions or requests, contact mzubair@voiceline-ls.com.
2. Data we collect
Account data. Name, email address, organization and role, phone number, language qualifications (for interpreters), and credentials such as hashed passwords. Interpreters may also upload certification documents for review.
Call metadata. For each interpretation session we record who requested it, the language pair, service type (audio/video, on-demand/scheduled), timestamps (requested, accepted, started, ended), duration, the interpreter assigned, and outcome. This is what drives routing, availability, and billing.
No call recordings. We do not record, store, or transcribe the audio or video content of interpretation sessions. Media flows through our real-time infrastructure only for the purpose of live transmission.
Payment and billing data. Rates, invoices, usage amounts, and — for interpreters — payout details you provide (such as bank account information for payments).
Technical data. Log data such as IP addresses, device/browser information, and API request metadata, used for security, rate limiting, and troubleshooting.
3. How we use data
- to provide the Service: matching, routing, and connecting interpretation calls;
- to compute usage and billing from call metadata, and to pay interpreters;
- to secure the Service: authentication, abuse prevention, and audit trails;
- to communicate with you: invitations, service notices, and support;
- to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use session content for any purpose.
4. Subprocessors
We rely on a small set of infrastructure providers to run the Service. They process data only on our instructions:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (account data, call metadata, documents);
- LiveKit — real-time audio/video and telephony transport for live sessions (media is transmitted, not stored);
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery (request logs and technical data);
- email delivery providers, used to send invitations and service notifications.
5. Sharing
Within the Service, data is shared on a need-to-know basis: your organization’s administrators can see your calls and team membership; interpreters see the information needed to serve a session; platform staff see what is needed to operate and support the Service. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the platform.
6. Retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Call metadata and billing records are retained for the life of the commercial relationship and as required for accounting and legal purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymized. You may request deletion of your account data, subject to records we must keep by law.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is scoped by role-based and row-level access controls, API keys are stored only as cryptographic hashes, and administrative actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected vulnerabilities or incidents to mzubair@voiceline-ls.com.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address above. If you are an end user of one of our customers, we may direct your request to that organization as the controller of your data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email, and the “Last updated” date above will change. See also our Terms of Service.
